The nurse should notice the possibility of Venous insufficiency when making referral. Venous insufficiency is a condition, where blood does not flow back properly to the heart, causing blood to pool in the veins in the legs. Several factors may cause these condition, its most commonly caused by blood clots and varicose veins.
