A student has 54 coins in a bank. There are only quarters, nickels, and dimes in the bank. If there are twice as many dimes as quarters and three times as many nickels as quarters, how many dimes are in the bank?

The student would have 18 dimes in the bank.. 54 coins. x+2x+3x=54
6x=54

18 dimes,
9 quarters
27 nickles.
