First find the slope of AB. Slope is the change in y over the change in x, so: (19 - 5)/(4 - -3) (19-5)/(4+3) 14/7 2 The slopes of perpendicular lines are negative reciprocals of each other. So, take 2, make it negative (-2), and take the reciprocal: -1/2.
