I believe the answer is: Good time
After receiving a good conduct time, the prisoner would be put under incarceration to see whether they could still maintained the good behavior.
If they commit a disciplinary action under incarceration period, the good conduct time could be revoked and the prisoner has to serve the time as convicted.
