First we have to make sure that all of the terms are simplified and set equal to 0, which it is in this case. We can solve for x using the quadratic function:

x= (-b +/- √b²-4ac)/2a

Based on the equation we have:

a=3
b=2
c=7

We can then plug this into the equation:

x= -2 +/- √2² - 4(3)(7) / (2)(3)
x= -2 +/- √4-84 / 6
x = -2 +/- √-80 / 6

Since there is a negative under the square root, there are no real solutions.
