converting 500.0 g to kg

500g 1kg
——— ———
1000g

500/1000 = .5kg

Utilize your heat transfer equation

Q = mc(delta T)
3.25x10^3 J = (.5kg)(what we are looking for)(50 degree change)

Rearranging we get

Q
__ = c
(m)(delta T)

so

3.25x10^3 J
________ = 130 J/kg•K
(.5kg)(50 K)

The substance should be Gold!!
