They are closer to our sun causing them to be less protected. Their outer layer is also not as protected with oxygen or other elements such as earth

Answer:

Because of the ozone layer and the distance to the sun.

Step-by-step explanation:

Because our Earth has the protection of the ozone layer can retain the heat produced inside the Earth so prevent to get colder, but at the same time prevent that all the heat come from the UV rays of the sun gets to the inner part of Earth, that is the reason why our planet does n´t get so hot.
