The students in Mrs. Cosby's class were observing worms. The students wanted to find out if a worm's body weight is related to how much food it eats. For their experiment, the students set up five containers in the same place, each with the same type of worm. They measured the starting weight of each worm before they began, and then offered the same amount and type of food to all the worms. What data must they collect during their experiment?

After the worms have finished eating their food, the students must now weigh the worms and record this data. They can then compare these new weights to the starting weights of the worms and see if it demonstrates their hypothesis. Hope this helped :)

The right answer is collecting weight data during the experiment until the end.

This type of study is a single-parameter-study, it requires the collection of data of a single parameter which is the weight of the studied population, These data are written, numerical and quantitative.

In this experiment, we are looking to verify if weight gain is directly correlated with the amount of food ingested by the worms, like "the more the worms eat, and their more important is", by taking the weight of the worms a many times during the experiment, and draw a curve afterward.

In this kind of experiment, one should not exclude the fact that there is a metabolic variation between worms.
