1. You have that the focus of the parabola is located at (0,–2) and the directrix is represented by y=2. Therefore, you have:

√(x0-0)²+(y0-(-2))²=|y-2|

2. By simplifying and clearing x², you obtain:

(√x0²+(y0+2)²)²=(y0-2)²
x0²+(y0+2)²=(y0-2)²
