When a line is parallel to another line, that means both lines have the same slope.

Since the standard form equation for a line is y = mx + b where m is our slope and b is our y-intercept, we know that the new equation will also have m=4.

They give us the y-intercept, b=1

So oue new equation is as follows...

y = 4x + 1
