False.

Citric acid is also known kreb cycle or tricarboxylic acid. In Kreb cycle, stored energy is released through the oxidation of acetyl CoA derived from proteins, carbohydrate and fats into chemical energy inform Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and carbon dioxide. However, about 10 ATPs are produced for one turn of citric acid cycle.
