Remember that i² = -1. Your expression can be rewritten as
-3×*(i²)² +2i×(i²) +2×(i²) +√(9×(i²))
= -3×(-1)² +2i×(-1) +2×(-1) +√((3i)²)
= -3 -2i -2 +3i
= -5 +i . . . . . . . . . . . . matches the 1st selection
