The main aim of the Treaty of Vienna (1815) was to generate a long term peace plan for Europe. In order to maintain peace, the members of this meeting (France, Great Britain, Prussia, etc.) agreed upon new national boundaries and re-organized territories. Within this new boundaries, the members of this meeting wanted to ensure that no one country would have too much power or influence in Europe. By balancing out the amount of territory and political power each country had, these nations hoped that this would prevent any future conflicts in Europe.
