PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!QUICK

1.(03.03 MC) The table below represents a linear function f(x) and the equation represents a function g(x). X F(x) g(x)=5x +1 -1. -11
0. -1
1. 9

Part A: Write a sentence to compare the slope of the two functions and show the steps you used to determine the slope of f(x) and gx). (6 points)

Part B: Which function has a greater y-intercept? Justify your answer. (4 points) (10 points)

For this case we have the following table:
X F(x)
-1 -11
0 -1
1 9
From here, we look for the function f (x).
We then have that as the equation is linear:

y-yo = m (x-xo)
Where,

m = (y2-y1) / (x2-x1) m = (9 - (- 1)) / (1-0)

m = (9+1)/(1) m = 10
We choose an ordered pair:

(xo, yo) = (0, -1)
Substituting values:

y + 1 = 10 (x-0)
Rewriting:

y = 10x - 1
Thus, the function f (x) is:

f (x) = 10x - 1
On the other hand, the function g (x) is:

g (x) = 5x +1
Answer:
The slope of f (x) is greater than the slope of g (x) (10> 5)
The intersection with the y axis of g (x) is greater than the intersection with the y axis of f (x) (1> -1)
