It will ALWAYS be plus or minus the square root. If it is Odyssey then it will have an option that is an addition symbol over a subtraction sign. It will ALWAYS come before the square root.

x^2+5x+3 = 0
This answer should be
(1)/(2) (-5 - √(13))

x^2 + 2x - 22 = 0
This answer should be
x = -1 - √(23)

Answer source comes from Wolfram Alpha.
