If you go by the dimensions in the figure, the three rectangular areas are 2 inches wide and a total of 3 +4 +6 = 13 inches long. That area will be
.. (2 in)*(13 in) = 26 in^2

The trianglar faces are each (1/2)*(2 in)*(6 in) = 6 in^2, so the total area is
.. 26 in^2 +2*(6 in^2) = 38 in^2

The surface area is 38 square inches.
