The election of Teddy Roosevelt means that many American workers would gain protections that they did not have as workers under previous presidents.
A perfect example of this was the National Child Labor Committee. This committee, created by Congress, allowed the federal government to investigate businesses who were accused of exploiting children and women workers. If exploitation was found by this committee, punishments could be handed down to the business owners. Along with this, Roosevelt also advocated for safer working conditions and helped to implement certain safety standards that businesses must met in order to operate.
