The maximum mass of ethanol that can be made from 15.5 kg of glucose is
7,93 kg
The transformation of glucose into ethanol is called
Alcoholic Fermentation.
The general equation for this reaction is the following:
C₆H₁₂O₆ → 2C₂H₅OH + 2CO₂
To know how many grams of ethanol can be made from 15,5 kg of glucose, we'll need to apply the following conversion factor to go from mass of glucose to mass of ethanol, applying the reaction coefficients and molar masses:
