The angles shown on the picture are called vertical angles. Vertical angles refer to two congruent angles formed by the intersection of two straight lines.

On this question is given two vertical angles, and it is asked to find the value of x. As said before, vertical angles are congruent or in other words they have the same measure.
To find the value of x you should put both of the expressions as an equation and then solve it for x.

3x+50=6x-10 Add ten in both sides
3x+60=6x Subtract 3x in both sides
60=3x Divide in both sides by 3 to isolate x
20=x

The value of x is 20 and the measure of each angle is 110 degrees.

Hello there!

Today we are dealing with vertical angles which means they must equal each other!

This leads us to be able to set up an equation to solve for x...

3x+50=6x-10
3x+60=6x
60=3x
20=x

So x=20 is the answer. If you wanted to solve for the angle measures, just plug 20 in for x into one of the expressions...

6x-10
6(30)-10
120-10
110

The angles both are 110 degrees, however for the question you asked, the answer is just 20.

I really hope this helps!
Best wishes :)
