Of the major participants, the fewest casualties were seen in the United States

The United States of America had the fewest casualties because they only sent a limited number of troops to war and the war was not fought on their territory so they didn't have a chance to lose that many soldiers, unlike Russians for example who suffered the most casualties compared to others.
