If 4 apples and 2 oranges equals $1 and 2 apples and 3 oranges equals $0.70, how much does each apple and each orange cost? (Can you do it step by step)

Ok so 4 apples and 2 oranges are $1. That means that the equation should be 4x+2y=100 (since there are 100 cents in a $1) so x would be the apples and y would be the oranges. If you solve it out the apples would be .25 each and the oranges would be .50 each
