I'm pretty sure the answer is exponent since it tells you how many times to multiply the number beside it by itself.

Example:

{3}^(4)
It is NOT 3 × 4 = 12

It is 3 × 3 × 3 × 3 = 9 × 3 × 3 = 9 × 9 = 81

I hope that helps you out!!

Any more questions, please feel free to ask me and I will gladly help you out!!
