Set up a proportion to answer this:

\frac{1 \text{in}}{5 \text{ft}}= \frac{x \text{in}}{25 \text {ft}}
Cross multiply:

5*x=1*25 \\ 5x=25
Divide both sides by 5:

(5x)/(5)= (25)/(5) \\ x=5
The scale model that matches the 25 ft side of the container will be 5 inches.
The second proportion:

\frac{1 \text{in}}{5 \text{ft}} = \frac{x \text{in}}{50 \text{ft}}
Cross multiply:

5*x=1*50 \\5x = 50
Divide both sides by 5:

(5x)/(5)= (50)/(5) \\x = 10
The part of the scale model that matches the 50 ft side of the container will be 10 inches.
