Answer:

x = 3.4

Explanation:

18x - 44 = 8x - 10

+10

18x - 34 = 8x

-18x

-34 = -10x

/ 10

x = 3.4

Proof:

18 x 3.4 = 61.2 - ( 44 ) = 17.2

8 x 3.4 = 27.2 - ( 10 ) = 17.2
