If 2 more violinists join the orchestra and 1/2 the orchestra are violinists already what fraction of all musicians would play a stringed instrument

The answer is 52/ 102, when simplified..

So, if we have 100 people in the orchestra- 50 of them are violinists.
If two more violinists join the orchestra, there would be 102 players and 52 violinists.
52/102 is the fraction you are looking for. Simplified it would be 26/51.
