This is a body of water along the coast where freshwater from rivers and streams meets and mixes with salt water from the ocean. You could call this a place of transition from land to sea and freshwater to salt water. It is a(n) A) bay. B) estuary. C) sea. D) swamp.

the answer is  estuary beacuse is a partially enclosed coastal body of brackish water with one or more rivers or streams flowing into it, and with a free connection to the open sea. Estuaries form a transition zone between river environments and maritime environments. Wikipedia
