Explanation:

1) 800*27=21600

21600÷100=216

800-216=584

So 584 $ is the selling price.

2) 584*8.875=5183

5183÷100=51.83

So 51.83 $ is the 8.875 sales tax

So 584+51.83=635.83$

3). 9*900=8100

8100÷100=81

So the price is 81$

4)81*8.875=718.875

718.875÷100=7.18875 round it 7.2

Now add : 81+7.2=88.2

1. 27 percent of $800 is $584.00
2. $584.00 with sale tax of 8.875 percent so sale tax is $51.83 which comes to total of $635.83
3. 900% of $9 is 81 sum 9 which is now selling price of $90
4. $90 with tax of 8.875% (7.9875 but round to 8.00) so answer would be approx $98
