How did world war 1 affect european leaders attitudes toward international aggression

It spooked them. They didn't want another conflict on that scale so they did everything they could to prevent it. That's why before WWII, they let Hitler get away with the annexation of Austria, the re-militarization of the Rhineland, and an invasion of Czechoslovakia.
