A flat organization has an organizational structure with few or no levels of middle management between staff and executives.
A hierarchical organization
is an organizational structure where every entity in the organization, except one, is subordinate to a single other entity.
A matrix organization is
a company structure in which the reporting relationships are set up as a grid, or matrix, rather than in the traditional hierarchy.
