The formula to find the volume of a cube is

V = s³, Here s is the side of the cube.

The side of the larger cube is 6

So the volume of the cube container shall be

V = 6³ = 216 cubic inches.

This means that it can hold 216 cubes of 1 inches each.

Now it is half filled with cubes of 1 inch.

Hence there are already 1/2(216) = 108 cubes of 1 inch each.

Hence we can accommodate 216 = 108 = 108 cubes more of 1 inch each.
