You can cut off the 4 ft triangle from the left and move it to the right to fill in a rectangle 20 ft wide by 15 ft high. You can always do this, so the area of any parallelogram is the product of base length and height, just as it is for a rectangle.

The area of the parallelogram is (20 ft)*(15 ft) = 300 ft^2.
