The scholarship will pay for $9,440 of her annual tuition, the remaining amount will be $20,060 yearly just in tuition.

She will have no expenses with books.

Each year will cost her $30,510 (tuition + room and board + lab and facilities fees)

Multiply that by four years of university, and she should be expecting to contribute with $122,040.

Answer:

$124,400

Explanation:

The scholarship pays for 30% of her tuition. This leaves her responsible for 100-30 = 70% of it. 70% = 70/100 = 0.7; this makes her part of the yearly tuition

0.7(29500) = 20650

She is still responsible for her $9600 room and board per year. Her books are paid for by the scholarship; however she still has the lab and facility fees at $850 per year.

Altogether this gives her a total of

20650+9600+850 = 31100 per year. Over the course of 4 years, this will cost her

31100(4) = 124400
