The directrix form
is (x - h)²
= 4p (y - k), where the focus is (h, k + p) and the
directrix
is y = k - p.
in this case, h=-4, k=3, 4p=-8, so p=-2
so the equation for the directrix is y=k-p=3-(-2)=5
the answer is y=5
