Okay so the question is: What force is necessary to accelerate a 70-kg object at a rate of 4.2 m/s²? Show your work below.

In order to solve this we first need to know what equation is used to find force:

To find force we need to multiply the mass of an object by the acceleration of an object.

F = m x a

Now it already gives us the mass of the object (70-kg) and the rate it's accelerating (4.2 m/s²) all that is left to do is to plug these numbers in:

F = 70 x 4.2

F = 294

Now we know that Force is measured in Newtons so for our final answer we will write:

Answer = 294 N
