Large automobile corporations, such as Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors, had made such huge profits during the 1920s that the cutbacks of the Depression only curtailed large increases in profits. So the other small companies wasnt making much money and people got poor overnight. The problem was getting this abundance to the needy. This unevenness of finances caused problems for the nation's economy. The rich attempted to get richer, and the poor only managed to survive.

Large automobile corporations during the Depression did not suffer nearly as much as most other companies during that time. The Depression only stopped these corporations from making even larger profits from what they made in the 1920s. These automobile corporations made so much money from the 1920s that the only thing they had to worry about was not making an incredible amount of money during the Depression. The higher ups had job security and did not have to deal with any disasters like other businesses.
