Paul needs to buy 5/8 pound of peanuts. The scale at the store measures parts of a pound in sixteenth’s. What measure is equivalent to 5/8 pound?

what you need to do is get to 16ths so,
to get 8 to 16, we multiply by 2. Thus, we have to do the same to the 5.

so, it looks something like this.


5 times 2 = 10

8 times 2 = 16. So your answer is 10/16. Hope it helps!
