The coefficients of this quadratic are {1, -6, 1/4}.
The formula for the x-coordinate of the vertex, which is also the formula for the axis of symmetry, is
-(-6) 6
x = -b/(2a), which here equals x = --------- = ---- = 3 , or x = 3 (answer)
