The difference between a monologue and a soliloquy is that in a monologue, the speaker is addressing an audience, but in a soliloquy, the author is just thinking out loud.

A monolouge is usually a very lengthy speech in a conversation,while a soliloquy, is your thoughts said out loud, usually done alone.
