DNA and rna are both made up of monomers called nucleotides. They both contain pentose sugars.

Hi there!
Both DNA and RNA are known as nucleic acids - they are genetic material. The only difference is DNA stays inside the nucleus whereas RNA is transcribed to create proteins. (I believe).
