The answer is hypothalamus and for second is a brain center that provides pleasurable rewards, "reward centers". Reward centers are center in brains which release chemical in body to reward the body for its good actions . Like dopamine is released in human body when we eat food, have sex etc. These chemicals make us repeat these actions for our survival. When rats in the experiment were allowed to stimulate themselves through pedal they would do it to the level of exhaustion.

The answer is hypothalamus; reward center
When mammals do actions that make them obtain something desirable, the hypothalamus part of the mammals brain will release dopamine that make us feel calm, happy, and satisfied. This will make us more likely to repeat that actions in order to seek this dopamine reward.
