Before World War 1, women weren't appreciated that much, they were mainly to take care of the house and the household, by cleaning, taking care of the children, cooking, and grocery shopping. During World War 1 while the men were off fighting in war, the women were still working at home, but they also started working in factory's, taking on more roles in the work force. After World War 1 women kind of went back to doing the same thing that they were doing before the war, but they had recieved more respect. Some women still contuined working in factory's but not many.
