The legislature in Israel in known as the Knesset. There are 120 members in the Knesset which are appointed and elected from a single nationwide electoral district for a period of four years but they are subjected to early elections also.

All the citizens who are above the age of 18 have the right to vote in the elections which are held within the secret ballot. The Knesset seats are allocated among the various parties with the help of D'Hondt method.

The Knesset has 20 members. The members of the Knesset (MKs) in Israel are elected on elections based on nationwide proposed representative. The number of sits in the knesset is proportional to the number of votes the party receives.
