According to cell theory all living things are made up of basic units called cells. The cells in all living things arise from other cells such that a cell is needed to generate another cell. Therefore cells are basic unit of structure in all living things and also a basic unit of reproduction. In this case,it is true that cells can be created by combining molecules in the laboratory since cells are generated from other cells.
