80 different ways... the fundamental counting theorem says if you have a series of choices, to find the total combined outcomes just multiply the number of options from each choice together.  In this case we have 3 choices; paint color(8 options), curtain type(2 options), and carpet color(5 options).  We just multiply 8 x 2 x 5 :-)
