In this statement the best answer would be "cultural context in which that behavior occurs". In Anthropology, one of the paradigms used in understanding a culture is phenomenology, which focuses on the symbols and meanings. In this field a difference on the behaviors of certain family members to other family members may show characteristics that could only be explained through their culture. As such one example would be the prevalent Confucian ideals in Asia, this is even observed in immigrants nowadays, where the great respect for elders are given, despite circumstances.

Cultural context in which that behavior occurs

Anthropology is basically the study of human cultures and their course of evolution. Anthropologists argue that factoring in a person's culture and lifestyle is of utmost importance when trying to understand human behavior. While sociology and social psychology focus on society, anthropology focuses on culture.
