“While people talk of the ‘houses’ at Catalhoyuk, they can equally be talked of as tombs. People lived their lives walking, eating and sleeping on the bones of their dead ancestors.” The quote above is referring to what practice in Catalhoyuk?

It is because they had a cultural practice of keeping the remains of loved ones in the house. They would bury them under the floor or would put them in walls or sometimes they were even bones found in the beds. This was a part of their afterlife ritual and was common in the Catalhoyuk area.
