Parallel lines, when graphed, will never intersect. For two lines to never intersect they must have the same slope. Therefore, the slopes of lines A and B can be anything as long as they are the same.

For example the slope of line A could be 3 if the slope of line B was also 3.

It could also be 5.2 if the slope of line B was also 5.2.
