Prior to the transformation, Central Asia was the host of the Silk Roads, they were welcoming to all major religions around the world and endured many encounters between nomads and farmers. After the transformation, they became an impoverished region that went backwards. The Mongol nobles lost all of their lands, nomads who could no longer herd their flocks freely quickly left for more urban areas and they eliminated nomadic pastoralists.
