One-point perspective was an early renaissance technique Perugino used to create a sense of space in this painting.

He used the one-point perspective as a way of creating space. This perspective used the concept of a single vanishing point in the distance as a way of giving the illusion of space. Many other drawings before this used multiple vanishing points, so the idea of having a single point in the distance that all objects pointed toward was a revolutionary concept.
