The given line has the equation y=5x-2
This line has a slope = 5

since the line we are looking for is parallel to this one, therefore, its slope is also 5

The equation of the linear line has the general form:
y=mx+c where m is the slope and c is the y intercept
we got the slope =5 , therefore, the equation became:
y=5x+c
To get the value of c, we will use a point that bekongs to the line (1,4) and substitute in the form as follows:
y=5x+c
4=5(1)+c
c=4-5=-1

Based in tha above, the equation of the line is:
y=5x-1
